Project Update – 2/8/2013

SEPTA’s decision on their preferred station location is expected in February!

Once the decision is announced and the station location is selected, the evaluation of road improvement alternatives will move forward.

The evaluation process will continue through the Spring and incorporate the excellent feedback we received from the community this past Fall. We look forward to presenting roadway improvement alternatives to the community at stakeholder meetings and another Community Open House in late Spring.

Public Outreach Update

On October 24th Tredyffrin Township and SEPTA hosted the Transportation Visions Open House at the Tredyffrin Township Building to engage the community in a process to improve walkability, roads and transit access to the Paoli area.

Thanks to you and 300 of your neighbors and business community members, the October 24th Transportation Visions Open House was a great success! During this five hour open house we:

1. Mapped over 422 pedestrian hot spot preferences and 522 traffic hot spots preferences
2. Listened to your visions and concerns about SEPTA’s Transportation Center Alternatives
3. Documented over 134 ideas for pedestrian and roadway improvements
4. Discovered your preferences for sidewalks, streetscapes, traffic calming and community identity elements during the Paoli Visual Preference Survey
5. Shared our plans to continue listening throughout the next year of this Paoli Road Feasibility Study
   

   Attendees documented 134 transportation improvement comments on the maps.
